The William Earl Cox Sr. Foundation was established in 2022, to honor the life & legacy of the late William Earl Cox Sr.  The William Earl Cox Sr. Foundation's Music Matters Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to furthering the musical aspirations and educational advancements of qualifying high school seniors in Mobile and Baldwin Counties in Alabama. 

The William Earl Cox Sr., “Music Matters” Memorial Scholarship will assist students  with direct educational costs, such as tuition, books, fees, and etc. 

Scholarship Criteria

• senior in high school

• 2.5 GPA (minimum)

• resident of Mobile or Baldwin Counties

• background/passion for music

Required Submissions

• application

• video demonstrating musical talent (minimum of 90 seconds)

• 2 letters of recommendations
